Los Angeles: A History of the Future

The idea for the Memory Of The Future Project came about as I realized I knew of only a few examples in literature, arts or film that portrayed healthy working futures for human beings and Planet Earth. I was able to think of many examples of dismal future visions in books and film and I believe those examples become a kind of path of least resistance that draws us toward them like a magnet if we are not consciously steering ourselves. So we need a new map. We need to become mapmakers.

The Mission of the Memory of the Future Project:

• To recognize that we can access our most desired future through memory, dreams, visualization, brainstorming, heartstorming...
• To declare we are the creators and co-creators of our world.
• To inspire ourselves and each other to build new muscles of trust in what can be, and to cultivate community in the process.
• To start creating.

This site will offer you:

• Inspiring words, images, video and music.
• Examples of vibrant futures in the arts, in design and innovation, and in models that are working out in the world.
• Resources, tools and exercises to assist in bringing forth your most desired future.
• Links to amazing organizations and projects that are dedicated to creating a thriving future.
• Inspiring and fun products. (in the works)

I'm a songwriter, singer, composer and producer, and have created three CDs of original music. I believe everything is possible, that beauty will save the world, and that as humans we need community with each other and with all life.
